Quality Controller
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance are upheld in our production processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and possess a strong understanding of food hygiene practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Safety and Quality Assurance: Guarantee the safety, authenticity, legality, and overall quality of our food products. Ensure that these principles are clearly understood and implemented throughout the production process.
Batch Sheet Completion: Responsible for completing batch sheets accurately, ensuring all relevant data is recorded.
Metal Detection Checks: Conduct regular metal detection checks to ensure product safety and integrity.
Compliance with Company Procedures: Adhere to all company procedures and protocols related to quality control.
Label Discipline: Maintain strict label discipline, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all product labels.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Uphold GMP standards in the work environment to guarantee product quality.
Clean Work Area: Maintain a clean work area by adhering to "clean as you go" practices.
Allergen Segregation: Implement and oversee allergen segregation processes to prevent cross-contamination.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and oral communication.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to maintain a high work rate and meet production goals.
Safety-conscious and aware of best practices in food safety.
Understanding of Food Hygiene regulations and principles.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Completion of batch sheets
Checking traceability numbers
Ensuring proteins are weighed as per specification and temperature checked
Ensuring runners do not refill gastronomes
Check each gastronome of mix from prep for traceability code.
Ensuring loop labels are correct
Checking of metal detectors hourly
Vigilant and alerting the line leader if ingredients or products in high care for too long.
Flagging up the need for cleaning to the line leader.
Flagging up PPE non conformities to the line leader.
